The Senior and First Grade buddy program matches up Eagle students for lots of fun activites throughout the school year. This includes on-campus events such as attending Mass together, the Halloween Trunk or Treat, the St. Patrick's Day parade, and more throughout the year.

  • Homecoming

Every year, St. John high school Student Council plans the homecoming week activities for the school and plans the homecoming dance.  The seniors on the football team are on the home coming court; high school students vote senior girls onto the court.  The homecoming king is crowned at a pep rally prior to game night.  The homecoming queen is crowned at the home coming football game.

  • Senior & First Grader Buddy Program

The Senior and First Grade buddy program matches up Eagle students for lots of fun activites throughout the school year. This includes on-campus events such as attending Mass together, the Halloween Trunk or Treat, the St. Patrick's Day parade, and more throughout the year.

  • Career Luncheon

The high school counselor organizes a networking experience for the junior class.  Professionals from various industries and career paths are invited to campus to eat lunch with our students.  Students have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about their career of choice.

  • Penny Party

For decades, the St. John Home and School Association host the Annual Fall Penny Party on a Friday on campus in October. Students in the elementary and middle school spend the afternoon outside with games, bounce inflatables, face painting, the cake walk, and more.

  • Walk with Jesus

To begin Holy Week each year, our 8th grade students perform the annual Walk with Jesus to reenact Jesus' final days, from his arrival in Jerusalem to his resurrection. Our students and teachers work together throughout the spring to practice and perform this in front of our staff, student body and the Eagle family.

  • Living Way of the Cross

The Senior class presents the Living Way of the Cross which follows Jesus' passion from the time he was brought before Pontius Pilate and sentenced to death, through his journey to his crucifixion, to his death and resurrection. In addition to recounting Jesus' experience, the seniors' presentation also included meditations at each station on Jesus' sacrifice, and the meaning of his passion in our lives.

  • Father-Daughter Dance

The St. John Alumni Association sponsors a dance for our elementary students and their fathers.  A photography booth, snacks, and a theme make for a great evening for these ladies and their dads!

  • 8th Grade Crossing Over

St. John celebrates the accomplishments of our 8th grade students with a special ceremony at the end of the year.  Representing the next step in their life, 8th grade students gather with their teachers and families in the campus chapel to symbolize their transition to high school.  Many of these students will return to campus next year to being their high school career.

  • Ring Ceremony

Each spring, juniors gather with their families at St. John Church for the Ring Ceremony.  The ceremony is rich in symbolism as they transition to their senior year.  With their ring, they shoulder the responsibility of role models and bind together with their class as well as with every alumnus of St. John.

  • Honors Night, Mass, and Commencement Exercises

Each year, the senior class celebrates one last mass together.  The baccalaureate mass is open to family and friends at St. John Church, usually taking place on Saturday before the commencement exercises.

The commencement exercises are held separately.  The diocesan bishop and superintentent join us to celebrate our students' accomplishments and award their diplomas.  Speeches are given by the valedictorian and salutatorian.
