Cynthia Prouty
Head Coach
Coach Prouty has a Masters in Education and is a graduate of University of West Alabama and McNeese State University - where she played basketball and softball on the college level. She has been coaching at St. John since 2012 and is a graduate of the Class of 1986.
Coach Prouty also coached softball on the college level for 17 years at colleges such as McNeese State, Alvin Community College, Northwestern State, Southern Miss, and BRCC.
Assistant coaches:
Coach Brandon Bueche has been my assistant in basketball for the past 3 years. Previously, he coached the middle school team at St. John. His main responsibility is offensive strategies.
Coach Chris "Gun" Schenebelen will begin his 2nd year coaching the girls team but brings experience coaching the boys. He is our defensive coach.

Anyone interested in playing basketball is welcome to come out and play. We do not have tryouts.
A parent meeting for basketball is held in November.
Basketball practice schedule includes 7th hour workouts until mid November. Then we begin regular practice.
