Principal

Opening for the 2025-2026 School Year

Master's Degree, preferably in education, with necessary credentials to be certified as a principal under Louisiana State Department of Education standards

St. John the Evangelist School in the Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking a Principal to collaborate with our parish, faculty, and staff in service to our PreK3 - 12th grade students.

Applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • Must be practicing Catholic for whom loyalty to Christ, His people, and the Church are of first importance and hold a philosophy of education consistent with his Catholic conviction
  • Have at least 5 years of teaching or school administration experience
  • Demonstrate leadership ability in past or present education assignments

Will teach, lead, and inspire our students both spiritually and academically in a nurturing, disciplined environment; Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons that align with the Diocese of Baton Rouge standards and St. John School's mission; collaborates with faculty and staff, as well as engages in effective communication with parents and students.
