
Yvette Johnson
Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Counselor Education degree from the University of New Orleans. She is a member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), and Southern Association For College Admission Counseling (SACAC).
As the chairperson of the Individual Needs Committee, Ms. Johnson collaborates to discuss and recommend minor adjustment plans. She oversees the coordination of information related to ACT/SAT registration, test preparation, scholarships, and college entrance applications, including Common APP. Additionally, she manages procedures for TOPS University Diploma (graduation requirements) and TOPS Core (scholarship eligibility).
In the high school counseling office, Ms. Johnson organizes course scheduling and administers standardized tests such as Pre-ACT 8/9, Pre ACT, and ACT (District Testing). She also assists students with dual enrollment information, academic and career planning, and provides academic and career resources for further guidance.
